During this three-hour stroll around the historic center, you are exposed to over 800 years of Amsterdam history and culture. Join us to receive a very entertaining and informative account of the Story of Amsterdam.
- In about 1 hour, we will cruise through the unique Unesco Heritage listed Golden Age canals of Amsterdam. We will cruise into the Jordaan, a neighbourhood known for its famous Prinsengracht towards the most romantic Magere Brug (English: Skinny Bridge – we will work on your Dutch pronunciation later), the Amstel river, the 7 bridges, the impressive Golden Bend, the 9 streets back to the Anne Frank house.
- On the way, we will tell you all about our favorite bars, restaurants, and other hidden gems in Amsterdam!
- Our skippers and great hostesses know all about Amsterdam, and no question will be unanswered. We will tell you the great stories about old the Dutch sailboats that roamed the seas and the famous Dutch seaheroes and local residents like Rembrandt van Rijn. We will talk about conquered lands and how the Dutch were ruling the seas in the 16th and 17th century (the Golden Age) but also the current tolerance of the Amsterdam people.
